Sayyid Al-Hakeem discusses energy, climate, bilateral relations with EU Ambassador
Sayyid Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, discussed with the Ambassador of the European Union in Baghdad, Ville Varjola on 9/6/2022, the climate and energy files, and the bilateral relations between Iraq and the European Union, where H.E. stressed the importance of developing these relations in a way that achieves the interests of all and preserves the sovereignty of our country and its internal decision. H.E. illustrated the importance of The European Union and its roles for Iraq, and the status that this bloc holds in the political, economic, and social dimensions.
His Eminence stressed the exchange of experiences in the field of climate, as its challenges are pressing on countries in the coming years, which requires concerted efforts by all parties to address them and mitigate their effects. Regarding the Iraqi reality, His Eminence stressed the need to expedite the formation of the government, adopt the proposed initiatives, and give priority to the public interest over private interests.
