Sayyid Al-Hakeem praises women’s role in Iraqi society, their active presence in Al-Hikma National Movement
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with several women leaders in Al-Hikma Movement in Najaf Al-Ashraf on 2/6/2022, stressing that caring for women and their fairness gives important results that contribute greatly to the welfare and advancement of society. Women constitute half of society and raise the other, hence Shaheed Al-Mihrab School took interest in women, cares for them, defends their rights, and grants them large and pivotal roles. It has continued this approach. We find that Al-Hikma Movement today, in its internal system, has established for women a 25% quota fixed in all its structures and institutions.
His Eminence pointed out that women possess capabilities and experiences that compete with men, and he said in his speech that Iraq is full of successful female leadership models so that some of them have preceded men and have been socially, politically, and administratively influential, calling for the need for women in Al-Hikma to be the sound of the concerns and aspirations of Iraqi women who suffer from the ordeals and difficult circumstances as a result of the challenges that Iraq has experienced, stressing the service as a priority and the importance of internal construction and pride in the history that extends for a hundred years of pride, honor, martyrs, and sacrifices.
His Eminence emphasized the voice of moderation and the effect of its absence and the attempt to distance it from the political scene. H.E. said that the absence of moderation means a lack of balance, loss of compass, and absence of people’s interests, while the presence of moderation and granting it its due represents a guarantee to achieve the interests of the Iraqi people, achieve prosperity, encourage investment and revive the economic reality.
His Eminence called to pay attention to women's cultural and academic elites and invest their creative energies to contribute to building the country, stressing the need for attention to training and self-development in all aspects.
