Sayyid Al-Hakeem: mass graves documentation is a victory for the martyrs’ blood and Iraqi people sacrifices
During his meeting with the Iraqi team for mass graves on Tuesday, 24/5/2022, Sayyid Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, expressed his happiness and pride that Iraq has a qualitative and professional team on a humanitarian and noble mission, indicating that mass graves are brutal, barbaric, and ignorant behavior and genocide committed by the former regime against its people. H.E. affirmed that working to expose these crimes is a victory for the history of Iraq, its people, and the sacrifices of its people.
In his speech, His Eminence said that every cemetery that is discovered is a document of condemnation of the previous stage, and a document against those who try to glorify that stage and have mercy on it, stressing that restoring the remains and identifying them is part of reparation for the families of the martyrs and a message to future generations. And to illustrate what happened, H.E. called to convert every grave into a matter of public opinion, stressing the distinction between the graves committed by the former regime and the graves of terrorism. Terrorism is condemned and denounced by everyone. As for the crimes of the regime, they were committed with the tools and institutions of the state, so the crime is doubled, emphasizing the importance of media, legislative, and administrative support for the team and exporting its experience to countries in need if requested to do so.
