Sayyid Al-Hakeem praises unions’ work, calls for a greater role in political decision-making
In his dialogue with union leaders in Iraq, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, blessed the holy month and the birth of Imam Hassan Al-Mujtaba “PBUH” on 18/4/2022, indicating the importance of union work in Iraq and the role of unions in political decision-making.
His Eminence highlighted the importance of integrating roles between union institutions and we said that they are an important source of influence and one of the indicators of the country’s renaissance. He called for the importance of unions taking their role in political decision-making and public opinion-making.
H.E. said that roles are taken and not given, and unions must have a role in opinion and advice.
His Eminence stressed the importance of coordination among union, political, and state institutions, indicating the need to correct the legal and legislative environment for unions in line with the new Iraqi reality and the nature of its political system and to allow youth and new blood.
His Eminence stressed spreading the culture of positivity and confronting frustration, indicating the necessity of marketing achievements, and pointing to the importance of concession in favor of Iraq.
Iraq has entered into many impasses and political crises, but what passes this stage is respect for the outputs of the relevant institutions and keeping the objection in its peaceful and political framework and not calling it to sectarian or factional headlines.
