Sayyid Al-Hakeem calls on journalists, media institutions to shed light on positives, confront frustration states & negative generalizations
On another Ramadan evening, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with a group of Iraqi media professionals on Thursday 14/4/2022, and after listening to their valuable interventions, His Eminence stressed in his conversation the importance of the media and journalists and their message at the dangerous junctures that Iraq went through. His Eminence illustrated within this framework that the conditions that our country has undergone are not comparable to any country in the region and the world and that the challenges that Iraq went through if another country had faced then that would have led said country to a major setback.
His Eminence urged media professionals and their media institutions to highlight the positives and give them space in programs and news and work to market them, which will contribute greatly to facing frustrations and negative generalization. H.E. explained the nature of the Iraqi political scene and the current state of impasse and said that the majority that will be able to create stability and then achieve the aspirations of the Iraqi people is the balanced national majority that will preserve the status of the largest social component and other social components, stressing that preserving the largest component is a social reality and not factional or sectarian rhetoric.
His Eminence made it clear that the framework is not an alliance, but rather a forum for unifying the views between the political powers representing the largest component, and that it is keen to support Iraqi institutions and preserve Iraqi society, including acceptance of the results of the elections, upon which many essential observations were recorded, indicating that the presence of Al-Hikma in it contributed to the maturation of visions and convergence of the points of view.
