Sayyid Al-Hakeem praises Economic Ministerial Council measures to provide strategic storage, support rations
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, praised the measures taken by the Ministerial Council for the Economy and its urgent measures to provide strategic storage and support the rations.
His Eminence said, “We support the Ministerial Council for Economy for its urgent measures to secure strategic storage and support the rations in Iraq.” The decision to increase the prices of marketed wheat by farmers and peasants for the next marketing season, and pay their overdue financial dues is a step in the direction of addressing the crisis of the sudden rise in prices, and a positive turning point in supporting this sector and push it towards the desired self-sufficiency.
His Eminence urged the Council of Ministers to support the Ministry of Commerce's plan to achieve food security for citizens and vote in favor of the decisions of the Economy Council. H.E. also reiterated his call upon the government to impose strict control over the market and restore prices to their stable status.
