Sayyid Al-Hakeem calls the government to launch urgent food security campaign
Al-Sayyid Al-Hakeem, head of the National State Powers Alliance, called on the government and its supervisory bodies to launch an urgent and broad food security campaign to contain the price crisis.
His Eminence tweeted on 6/3/2022 “The sudden and steep rise in food prices, especially oil and flour, and other life necessities are a cause for a serious stand that takes into account the suffering of the people, especially those with limited income, and that the government and its supervisory bodies are required to launch an urgent and a broad food security campaign to contain the crisis before it escalates, impose price controls, and take advantage of the financial abundance due to the rise in oil prices in the global markets to support the food basket. H.E. also urged the Ministry of Commerce to release the ration that is overdue for months, especially as we are on the threshold of the holy month of Ramadan.
