Sayyid Al-Hakeem discusses political scene developments, Baghdad-Washington ties with US Ambassador
Sayyid Al-Hakeem, head of the National State Powers Alliance, met the US Ambassador, His Excellency Matthew Tuller, and discussed the developments of the political scene in Iraq and the region and the bilateral ties between Baghdad and Washington D.C., how to improve them to serve both the countries and the peoples’ interests.
His Eminence affirmed the necessity of overcoming Iraq’s political impasse and indicated the importance of everyone’s need for the will to overcome it. This can be done through the proposed political initiative to address the current crisis. His Eminence stated that solutions are available and not too difficult if the politicians gave priority to the public over private interests.
His Eminence called for the adoption of dialogue to resolve internal, regional, and international disputes and said that rigid stances will produce more harm and damage to countries and peoples’ interests. H.E. stated the importance of agreeing on the commonalities and starting from it in managing crises and disputes.
