Sayyid Al-Hakeem receives Iraqi Council for Islamic Unity delegation, calls to preserve social and political gains
Sayyid Al-Hakeem, head of the National State Powers Alliance, received the delegation of the Iraqi Council for Islamic Unity on Wednesday 9 February 2022, and discussed with them the latest developments in Islamic, social, and political affairs in Iraq and the region and the role of Islamic institutions in confronting the challenges facing the Iraqi people and the Islamic nation in general.
His Eminence stressed the need to modernize the religious discourse in line with the challenges of the current stage, especially those directed at youth, and the need to contain them, pointing to social achievements, the most important of which are confronting terrorism and eliminating its social incubator and overcoming sectarian conflicts.
Political-wise, His Eminence called for the formation of the government according to a service program and with clear priorities, calling on everyone to look at the interests of Iraq and its people and give them priority over other interests.
