Sayyid Al-Hakeem: IHEC & Judiciary are responsible for just elections results objectors
His Eminence, Sayyid Al-Hakeem, head of the National State Powers Alliance, emphasized that everyone must place the interest of Iraq and its people before them in every step on every path, and pointed out during receiving the delegation of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, led by Mr. Hoshyar Zebari on Friday, November 5, 2021, that the next phase will be delicate and that it’s necessary to unify the views towards its challenges.
His Eminence recalled during the meeting the historic relations with the Kurd leaders, especially of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, and expressed regret at the events that happened at the gates of the Green Zone, reiterating his call to keep the peace of the demonstrations objecting to the results of the elections, and how imperative that the security services protect the demonstrators and refrain from aggression when dealing with them. The Independent High Electoral Commission and the Judicial Institution are responsible for redressing the people who are objecting to the results of the elections.
