Sayyid Al-Hakeem Continues Imam Zain Al-Abidin’s Epistle on Rights Explanation, Emphasizes Preserving Prayer Timings Importance

In a continuation of his ongoing lecture series on Imam Ali bin Al-Hussein, Al-Sajjad’s (peace be upon them) Epistle on Rights, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, resumed his discussion on the tenth right—the Right of Prayer—focusing on the third aspect: “Preserving Prayer Timings.”
Sayyid Al-Hakeem referenced numerous Qur’anic verses and noble narrations emphasizing the significance of maintaining prayer and performing it at its prescribed times. H.E. also cited several sayings of Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) that highlight the virtue of adhering to prayer schedules.
    Among the narrations discussed were:
    •  Imam Ali (peace be upon him) said: "No servant who is mindful of prayer times and the movement of the sun shall be denied tranquility at death, relief from worries and sorrows, and salvation from the Fire. We were once shepherds of camels, and today, we are shepherds of the sun."
    •  Imam Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: "The most beloved of Allah’s servants is one who is truthful in speech, diligent in observing prayer, and fulfills what Allah has enjoined upon him while upholding trust."
    •  Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: "Whoever delays an obligatory prayer beyond its time shall not receive my intercession tomorrow."
    •  Imam Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) stated: "The merit of praying at the earliest time over the latest time is like the superiority of the Hereafter over this world."
    •  Another narration from Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) warns: "Do not neglect your prayers, for whoever does so shall be resurrected alongside Qarun and Haman, and it shall be Allah’s decree to cast him into the Fire with the hypocrites."
    •  Imam Mohammed Al-Baqir (peace be upon him) said: "The one who prays on time, recognizing its significance, and does not prioritize anything over it, Allah will grant him a guarantee of no punishment. But the one who delays it for worldly affairs, it is up to Allah—He may forgive or punish him."
Sayyid Al-Hakeem underscored that maintaining prayer timings is among the most critical obligations for believers, cautioning that neglecting or delaying prayer distances one from divine mercy and reduces their opportunity for intercession on the Day of Judgment.
H.E. further pointed out that these narrations illustrate how prayer is not merely an act of worship but a path to salvation, alleviation of worries, and relief from worldly and eternal suffering.
Concluding his lecture, Sayyid Al-Hakeem reaffirmed the importance of focusing on blessed prayer times, stressing the profound spiritual and psychological benefits of timely prayer both in this life and the Hereafter.
