    Sayyid Al-Hakeem discusses political developments with Qubad Talabani, stresses finalizing constitutional entitlements, advance economic reform

    His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, received this evening a delegation from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan led by His Excellency Qubad Talabani. The meeting discussed views on developments in Iraq’s political landscape following the successful parliamentary elections, as well as a discussion on the nature of the relationship between the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and Al-Hikma National Movement and the historical ties that connect both sides.
    H.E. underscored the importance of concluding the constitutional entitlements of the coming phase within the timelines stipulated by the Constitution, noting that broad participation in the elections and adherence to constitutional deadlines stand as achievements that add to the record of positive indicators. H.E. called on political powers to assume their responsibilities in this regard and work toward narrowing differences on key issues.
    H.E. further stated that the next stage requires prioritizing challenges, stressing the importance of economic reform, defusing crises, and safeguarding Iraq’s interests and the well-being of its citizens as the foundation for any forthcoming step.
