Sayyid Al-Hakeem Receives Gulf Media Union Delegation, Emphasizes Importance of Enhancing Media Relations between Iraq and Gulf Countries
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received a delegation from the Gulf Media Union who participated in the first session of the Union's General Conference.
During the meeting, H.E. reiterated the key points of his speech at the conference, clarifying that Iraq is vastly different from the image portrayed by some satellite channels and media platforms. H.E. emphasized that such meetings are crucial for strengthening ties between Iraq and the Arab and Gulf nations.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem highlighted the importance of media addressing issues of mutual interest between Iraq and Gulf countries, noting that the challenges faced by our societies are not solely external but also internal, requiring a proactive role from the media in addressing them. H.E. stressed that the credibility of media narratives is among the most effective tools in tackling these challenges.
H.E. also reaffirmed Iraq's openness to its Arab, regional, and international surroundings and its commitment to fostering the best possible relations with all countries based on mutual interests while maintaining its national sovereignty. Concluding the discussion, H.E. praised the Gulf Cup 25 tournament, noting its significant positive impact on both guests and hosts, and its role in strengthening the bonds between the Gulf nations and the Iraqi people.
