Sayyid Al-Hakeem from North Basra: Emphasizes Transforming Stability to Lasting Stability, Redress Marginalized Areas

During His Eminence’s visit to Al-Madina district in North Basra, at the guesthouse of Sheikh Hassan Al-Ruwaimi, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, commemorated the blessed birth anniversary of Imam Al-Mahdi (May Allah hasten his reappearance) and the Shaaban Uprising. H.E. highlighted the uprising’s role in toppling the former regime and establishing a new equation that brought reassurance to Iraq and its people.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem noted that Iraq has overcome significant challenges on political, security, and social levels. H.E. emphasized that Iraqi society has regained cohesion and unity, proving that sectarianism was merely a fabricated political construct.
H.E. also underscored the importance of continuous dialogue among political leaders, pointing out that such meetings—once considered major events covered extensively by the media—are now a normal occurrence, reflecting the progress of Iraq’s political landscape.
Stressing that the current phase is one of forward momentum, Sayyid Al-Hakeem called for ensuring that Iraq does not regress to past crises. H.E. urged efforts to solidify stability and transform it into a lasting reality. Additionally, he reaffirmed his support for initiatives aimed at addressing the needs of North Basra’s communities by improving services and fostering development opportunities, contributing to the province’s overall advancement and prosperity.
