Sayyid Al-Hakeem Meets Basra Youth Leaders, Emphasizes Empowerment, Inclusivity

As part of His Eminence’s visit to Basra, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, met with a large gathering of youth leaders. H.E. began the meeting by extending congratulations on the blessed birth anniversary of Imam Al-Mahdi (May Allah hasten his reappearance) and the anniversary of the Shaaban Uprising.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem emphasized that achieving positive results requires patience, stressing the importance of enduring challenges such as misinformation and smear campaigns that have targeted all reform initiatives. H.E. highlighted that two-thirds of Iraq’s population is under the age of 24, making youth empowerment a national priority. He urged young Iraqis to take the initiative and actively contribute to nation-building.
H.E. also noted that Al-Hikma National Movement was established to nurture and support young leaders. While the idea of youth empowerment initially seemed unconventional, it has now become a model embraced by many, demonstrating its success and significance.
Furthermore, Sayyid Al-Hakeem underscored the need to embrace diversity and respect individual identities within a unified national framework. H.E. stressed that openness, inclusivity, and meeting others halfway strengthen societal cohesion. He reaffirmed the importance of moderation, fostering common ground, and avoiding divisions. Additionally, he called for strengthening the state and supporting its institutions to ensure a stable and prosperous future for Iraq.
