Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, considered Basra’s hosting of the 25th Gulf Championship as an affirmation of Iraq’s ability to host major forums. His Eminence tweeted on 22/10/2022, “We welcome the distinguished guests of Iraq in Basrah, who will attend the draw for the 25th Gulf Cup to be held next Tuesday, as this step comes as a confirmation of Iraq's ability to organize and host major forums at various levels and restore its leading role in the region and the world. This requires high-level attention from the federal and local governments in Basra and the rest of the concerned authorities to show our Basra Al-Fayhaa its best image in terms of infrastructure, services, and others.
