Sayyid Al-Hakeem discusses political scene developments, Baghdad-France bilateral ties with French Ambassador
Sayyid Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, discussed with the French Ambassador, Éric Chevallier on 5/10/2022, the developments in political affairs in Iraq, the mechanisms for completing the constitutional entitlements, forming a government of national service, and ways to strengthen the ties between Iraq and France, where he renewed his call to end the current political crisis through dialogue and concession to Iraq and the supreme national interest and illustrated that the side conflicts will only bring new disruption and damage to citizens’ interests.
During the meeting, His Eminence called for the importance of investing in Iraq’s promising reconstruction opportunities. We reiterated Iraq's firm desire to open up to everyone to achieve Iraq’s interests and safeguard its sovereignty.
H.E. also heard from His Excellency the position of France, which respects the will of the Iraqis in choosing their representatives and stands at the same distance from everyone. His Excellency also expressed his admiration for the Iraqi national cohesion demonstrated by the visit of Imam Al-Hussein “Peace Be Upon Him”.
