Sayyid Al-Hakeem discusses political scene developments, Baghdad-Rome relations with Italian ambassador
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, discussed with Italian Ambassador Maurizio Griganti the developments of the political scene in Iraq and the region and the bilateral relations between Iraq and Italy in all fields on 6/7/2022.
His Eminence reiterated Iraq’s desire to cooperate with everyone in a way that serves its interests and preserves its sovereignty. While H.E. called for the formation of a national service government capable of achieving the aspirations of the Iraqi people, stressing the importance of agreeing on an abbreviated program based on priorities for the next phase capable of providing services and providing job opportunities.
His Eminence stressed the importance of benefiting from the experiences of countries in diversifying the agricultural and industrial sectors, investment, and tourism, noting that Rome had a pioneering experience in these sectors, and we also listened to the details of the loan offered by Italy for the reconstruction of ancient cities, especially the city of Ur, pointing out that the antiquities of Iraq are a human heritage that deserves to be known and promoted.
