Sayyid Al-Hakeem Receives Syrian Ambassador to Iraq
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received the Syrian Ambassador to Iraq, His Excellency Mr. Sattam Jadaan Al-Dandah, and discussed the ongoing developments in the bilateral relations between the two brotherly nations, underscoring the significance of each country to the other due to their shared history, common interests, and mutual challenges.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem illustrated that Iraq has not and will not serve as a route for aggression against neighboring countries, reiterating that this stance is rooted in a constitutional principle enshrined in Iraq's permanent constitution. Additionally, His Eminence pointed out Iraq's key and constructive role in de-escalating regional tensions and fostering dialogue.
His Eminence reaffirmed his support for the government’s development and service efforts and highlighted the importance of the Arab and Islamic stance on the events in Gaza, and called for an immediate halt to the war and the daily killing machine of women, children, and innocent civilians.
