Sayyid Al-Hakeem Discusses Political Landscape, Census, Unresolved Issues with Masrour Barzani
During his visit to the Kurdistan Region, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem met with Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, where they exchanged views on Iraq's current political, social, and security situation. Emphasizing the importance of preserving stability and working towards lasting peace, Sayyid Al-Hakeem congratulated the region on the success of the recent elections and encouraged the formation of a government that upholds voters' rights and fulfills their aspirations.
His Eminence highlighted the need for collective efforts to ensure the success of the national census, describing it as essential for creating developmental plans, assessing issues, and providing a comprehensive database on the economic and social status of the population.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem also reiterated the call to elect a new Speaker of Parliament, noting that filling this vacant position is necessary to reassure all communities of their role in political decision-making.
