Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Regional and International Will for Iraq's Stability

During a visit to Al-Najadat tribe, led by Sheikh Mohammad Abdukreidi, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with a large gathering of sheikhs and dignitaries from the Al-Mada’in district. His Eminence recalled the significant moments when Iraqi tribes united against dictatorship and terrorism, emphasizing that Iraq has undergone difficult challenges to achieve its current state of freedom and stability. H.E. pointed out that Iraq suffered from the collaboration between the Ba'ath regime and terrorism, but the defensive jihad fatwa and the uprising of Iraqi tribes to liberate the land and protect the country shifted the balance, leading to Iraq's victory.
H.E. highlighted that the regional perspective on Iraq has significantly changed. Previously, Iraq's challenges were seen as a threat to regional security. Now, the prevailing view is that regional security is closely tied to Iraq’s stability. H.E. urged consideration of this shift and its implications for Iraq and the region’s security.
H.E. also emphasized the importance of the development path and the stability it signifies for regional and global actors, creating job opportunities, economic benefits, and connecting Iraqi cities. H.E. stated that there is both regional and international will for Iraq's stability. H.E. highlighted the significance of the Prime Minister's international and regional visits and their impact on Iraq's stability, and noted that the rapid completion of projects is a result of Iraqi stability, calling for the completion of the Nahrawan water project, which serves Al-Mada’in, and the refurbishment of the Yusifiya power plant, which helps address the electricity crisis in Al-Mada’in, along with a focus on school infrastructure.
H.E. stressed the need for diligent follow-up on these issues to improve services in Al-Mada’in, expressing confidence in both federal and local governments to provide services and continue development efforts. H.E. called on the tribes of Al-Mada’in to protect projects and investors, creating a safe and stable investment environment, and stated that collaboration between tribes and government institutions is crucial to achieving the desired goals.
