Sayyid Al-Hakeem: tribes are the strong arm of the religious authority, together with the rituals of Husseini processions, they form a trio for safeguarding society
During his visit to Sheikh Nouri Azzara Al Ma’joon's in the guest place of Banu Hajim Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with a large gathering of sheiks and dignitaries from the province, recalling the journey of the late Sheikh Sami Azzara Al Ma’joon and the historical milestones that united him with the Bani Hajim tribe in confronting dictatorship and terrorism.
H.E. emphasized the importance of connecting with the past and the significant turning points and roots laid down by forefathers, stating that the strength of society lies in the communication and integration among the people of one country. H.E. clarified that tribes are one of the most important pillars of Iraqi society, and these visits are part of the communication and observation of the province's reality.
H.E. praised the role of tribes in Al-Muthanna in achieving societal security and stability, affirming that the tribe is an institution with customs and laws. H.E. mentioned that tribes are the strong arm of the religious authority, and together with the rituals of Husseini processions, they form a trio for safeguarding society. H.E. recalled the impact of the religious authority's defensive jihad fatwa and the role of Iraqi tribes in responding to the fatwa and defeating terrorism, stating that Iraq suffered from the tyranny of the Ba'athists and their terrorist groups.
H.E. explained that Iraq suffered from security, political, and social instability, but today it enjoys societal security, harmony, and political tranquility. H.E. added that the Prime Minister's visit to America was a message regarding the international community's engagement with the positive changes in Iraq. H.E. mentioned that our regional visits coincide with Iraqi readings and coordination with the federal government, also emphasizing the importance of considering regional affairs and public interest.
H.E. called for the adoption of modern technology in agriculture and irrigation, including the lining of rivers and ponds, reiterating his vision for a single-basket solution with Turkey based on security, economy, and water, expressing hope that recent agreements with Turkey will contribute to solving the water crisis.
