Sayyid Al-Hakeem emphasizes converging Islamic sects, stresses reconciliation does not mean assimilation or dilution of beliefs

During the periodic session of The World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, subsequent to the insightful addresses and contributions delivered by the Council President and members, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, conveyed the following statement: “It is imperative to bolster the Assembly's operations and its role in fostering communication and proximity. There's a crucial need to distinguish between proximity and assimilation; our aim isn't assimilation and blurring of doctrines but rather fostering cooperation, integration, and mutual understanding of each other's beliefs.” H.E. called to appoint influential personalities for the Assembly's General Body and adopt a transparent approach to harmony, taking regional challenges into account.
H.E.  also called to harness technology and modern platforms, channeling media efforts towards harmony initiatives, honoring influential figures in this regard, acknowledging their contributions, and commemorating those who've passed. H.E. affirmed the significance of research and articles as fundamental steps, promoting successful experiences, and prioritizing practical ideas essential for our nation.
H.E. illustrated importance of addressing ethical and social dimensions and counter the cultural encroachment on Islamic civilization. Moreover, H.E. emphasized the importance of Muslim women's involvement in fostering proximity among schools of thought and establishing effective communication channels among members.
