Sayyid Al-Hakeem: The Supreme Religious Authority’s position represents an extension of the positions of our great clerics in supporting the Palestinian cause and the victory of the Palestinian people

In the guesthouse of Sheikh Khudair Ahmed Al-Sinjar Al-Amiri, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with a large gathering of sheiks and dignitaries from the noble Albu 'Amir tribe, as well as elders and dignitaries from the Suwayb area in southwest Baghdad, and other noble tribal and clan figures from the beloved homeland. They discussed the ongoing developments in Palestine, emphasizing that it is an issue for Arabs, Muslims, and humanity at large.
His Eminence expressed his astonishment at the level of duplicity in the concepts of freedom, freedom of expression, and human rights. H.E. stressed that the international coverage of the occupier's crimes implies an implicit agreement between some countries and the Israeli occupation, considering the Palestinians in Gaza as outside the realm of humanity. H.E. also expressed his condemnation and bewilderment at the world's silence over the cutting off of water, food, medicine, and fuel to more than two million people, which H.E. regarded as a genocide against innocent people.
H.E. pointed to the Quranic promise that evil plans will eventually encircle their makers and clarified that the cries of children, women, and the oppressed will remain a curse haunting those who commit them. H.E. highlighted the high-level religious authority's supportive and solidary stance on the Palestinian cause, noting that this stance is an extension of the positions of our great clerics in supporting the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people.
H.E. explained that the dynamics and challenges that Iraq has faced have evolved, emphasizing the importance of drawing lessons from history to understand the achievements of the present and the plans for the future. H.E. stated that Iraq has overcome security, political, and social challenges, each of which could have destroyed other nations if they had to endure them.
H.E. also mentioned that today's challenge is a service-oriented one, as the decline in security, political, and social challenges make services a top priority. H.E. called for broad and effective participation in the upcoming provincial council elections, emphasizing their importance as the first local elections in a decade. They represent a return to the decentralized system and the financial abundance derived from budgets, which provide an opportunity for a qualitative service leap in the provinces, with an emphasis on equitable distribution. H.E. also stressed the need to address population growth figures, and the nature of the youthful society, and to find ways to harness their energies in serving the community. This requires broad and effective participation in the upcoming elections.
