    Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Arabs-Kurds’ relationship to topple dictatorship, build new Iraq

    At the Host of Sheik Hasan Agha, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with the Kurdish Haideri tribe on 9/10/2023, stressing the historical milestones that united them in the face of dictatorship and the construction of the new Iraq. His Eminence explained that this relationship was one of the most important reasons for overthrowing the dictatorship and building the new Iraqi democratic system.
    H.E. indicated the achievements, including Kurdish political representation at the presidential level, several ministers, security and military leadership positions, as well as the recognition of the Kurdish language as the second official language in the country. H.E. also highlighted that the Kurds are integral partners in the administration of the modern Iraqi state.
    H.E. mentioned the challenges Iraq has faced, such as terrorism and internal conflicts, and stressed that Iraq has moved beyond these problems, with everyone sharing the responsibility for rebuilding the country and providing services.
    Sayyid Al-Hakeem called for reflecting on historical milestones, as history shapes the present and molds the future, emphasizing that these milestones bear witness to the importance of unity and cooperation among Iraqis from all backgrounds.
