Sayyid Al-Hakeem: True reform can only be achieved by following the righteous path of the Prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him and his family.

During His Eminence's participation in the celebration of the birth of the noble Prophet, organized by the Sunni Endowment in Baghdad, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, extended his congratulations on the birth of our noble and revered Prophet Mohammed, “peace be upon him and his family” on 26/9/2023. His Eminence affirmed that Prophet Mohammed, “PBUH”, is the last of the prophets and the leader of the messengers, having attained a level of human perfection that no one else has reached. His message is the greatest of all messages and the final one.
In his remarks, H.E. stated, "Our noble Prophet is the central point of Muslim unity, and if we seek unity among Muslims, we must gather around the personality of the Prophet “PBUH”. True reform can only be achieved by following his righteous methodology, and the entry point is in ethics. Ethics represent the true key to reform. Thus, the Islamic call came with a moral content." H.E. pointed out that the policy of targeting the person of the Prophet “PBUH”, and his message continues and renews, including incidents like the burning of the Quran under the banner of freedom of expression and the violation of the sanctity of the Prophet in offensive images, and disrespecting the beliefs of Muslims. All of these are signs of this ongoing and renewing approach.
H.E. expressed his astonishment at the situational laws that criminalize defamation and abuse of respected figures in society while turning a blind eye to insults against the Prophet under the guise of freedom of expression. H.E. also noted that some people tolerate insults against the Prophet “PBUH”, and the Islamic message and the Quran, are strict in protecting other aspects such as non-traditional sexual orientations, considering it discrimination against people. However, these insults unite Muslims and make them feel the need to support each other and their noble Prophet “PBUH”.
H.E. emphasized the importance of emulating our Prophet Mohammed “PBUH”, in fulfilling oaths and commitments and utilizing the elements of strength in building an independent, stable, and prosperous society. H.E. highlighted the significance of the relative security, political, and social stability that Iraq is currently experiencing and the international and regional support it receives. H.E. also emphasized the importance of collaboration and solidarity in bearing the responsibility of governing the country, especially as provincial council elections are approaching. H.E. emphasized the need for broad and informed participation in the elections, voting based on competence and integrity, and choosing a team that contributes to accumulating positives and providing real service to our people.
