Sayyid Al-Hakeem: integrating Iraq’s interests with neighboring and world countries will make its stability a national security

At the Baghdad Bureau for Youth Elites on 3/6/2023, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, stressed that youth is important energy if it is well directed and also a serious challenge if we do not improve its management, indicating Iraq can only compare with itself due to the circumstances and crises it has experienced and the seamless transition from a totalitarian dictatorship to a pluralistic democratic system, and this transition between these two models of systems has a tax on the internal and external level.
His Eminence made it clear that sectarianism is not a societal product, but a political product for political gains. H.E. considered coexistence a destiny and not a choice, and that Iraqis have surrounded sectarianism within a record time, pointing out that the first affected by terrorism is the true Islamic religion, which suffered from the consequences of terrorism and its abuse.
His Eminence praised the youth generation that is free from complexities and reminiscent of the past and possesses the desire to coexist in harmony, indicating that Al-Hikma National Movement is a movement that was founded to express the youth, their desires, and aspirations. Until now the movement graduated five generations, and we will support any success story. H.E. added “Iraq lives an unprecedented security, political, social, and even economic and service stability due to the construction and service revolution in the governorates. Terrorism destroyed cities directly and ceased rehabilitation operations in different cities, and the budget represents a political development with the existence of the will to pass it.”
H.E. stated the Development Path project will integrate Iraq’s interests with other countries, making its stability a part of their national security, calling to preserve Iraq’s role in converging the views of the factions of the region. Meaning that the regional stability is in Iraq’s favor, calling to synergize efforts in confronting drugs and intrusive ideology in our society. H.E. called the youth to take pride in their nation, culture, and identity, as well as take the political initiative, either through establishing entities that express them or collaborating with political powers that are close to their ideology.
H.E. described governorates tour to visit and have a closer look at the realities of governorates and to preserve the relations with our people, calling Tishreen (October’s demonstrations) to have just claims. And we must differentiate between those with just demands and those with foreign agendas that tried to use them for political gains, calling to remove the contradiction of set age limits to form parties and the age of candidacy, as it’s unreasonable to grant party establishment leave to a person at the age of 25, while the age of candidacy is 30.
