Sayyid Al-Hakeem meets Mr. Masood Barzani, discusses political landscape developments
As part of his visit to the Kurdistan region, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with the Chairman of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Dear Brother Professor Masood Barzani, 11/5/2023, and discussed the developments of Iraq's political and regional landscape and the interrelationship between the Kurdistan Democratic Party and Al-Hikma National Movement. The two sides recalled the relationship that has historically brought together the relationship of ancestors in the face of dictatorship, Iraq's building, and the fight against terrorism.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem said that Iraq had witnessed a new change that represented stability, optimism, and the Government's acceptability internally, regionally, and internationally. His Eminence stressed the importance of dialogue to resolve outstanding problems between the Federal Government and the Regional Government and of maintaining differences within its legal and constitutional framework.
The parties also discussed ending the displaced file and confronting the remnants of terrorism and Iraq's roles in regional and international files and reiterated the importance of focusing on the brotherly relationship that brought together the components of Iraq, especially Arabs and Kurds.
