Sayyid Al-Hakeem: hand implications are generosity, magnanimous, and cheap
In the 12th Ramadan Lecture on 11/4/2023, and to continue his speech on the letter of rights of Imam Zayn Al-Abidine Ali bin Al-Hussein "PBUT", where His Eminence talked about the hand and its metaphorical meaning and its implication of good or ugly deeds, and ended up on Haram earnings and its testament. H.E. said that monopoly is one of the Haram ways and addressed several narratives that prohibit monopoly, labeled those who monopolize as sinners and will have an equal place in hell with those who commit heavy sins.
After finishing the subject of fraud as one of the testaments of haram earnings and ending on the metaphorical meaning of the hand, H.E. then shifted to the metonymy of hand when the hand is mentioned in what is meant for a different meaning and pointed to generosity which is one of the metonymy testaments of the hand, and as expressed in the Holy Quran on how generous people have generous open hands while describing miserly with their hands closed and chained. And H.E. explained with narratives on the generosity and magnanimous helping people in need and deeds, without overdoing leading to overspending and excess.
