Sayyid Al-Hakeem calls to automate Interior Ministry
Sayyid Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma Movement, congratulated His Excellency the Minister of Interior, Mr. Abdulameer Al-Shimmari, for winning the Iraqi Parliament’s vote of confidence on 30/10/2022, and emphasized the importance of the Ministry of Interior being the body in charge of internal security file, and it includes several institutions concerned with the citizen’s life from birth to death. H.E. stressed the importance of automation and introducing modern technology in daily transactions. It is also necessary to complete granting national cards to all citizens.
His Eminence called for greater effort in the war against drugs and indicated the need to separate the issues of abuse, trafficking, and promotion. H.E. stressed the need to hit drug networks and those working on it with an iron fist, adding, "Drugs are no less than the terrorism’s challenge, so it requires ambitious plans with clear indicators to curb this phenomenon." H.E. also called to synchronize education with security efforts.
H.E. emphasized combating corruption, taking care of the community police, tackling social problems before they reach the judiciary, and taking care of the tribal institution as it is synonymous with the rule of law.
H.E. also referred to the importance of the traffic sector and called to enforce the law and considered the traffic file and compliance with its instructions as one of the indicators of compliance with the law and the public interest.
