Sayyid Al-Hakeem receives Iranian Ambassador over diplomatic mission end, praises consolidating Iraq-Iran relations efforts
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, received in his office in Baghdad His Excellency the Iranian Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Iraj Masjedi, on the occasion of the end of his duties as the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Baghdad 20/4/2022. H.E. wished him continued success in his future assignments and praised his efforts in consolidating relations between the two countries on all levels. H.E. also wished the next ambassador success in his diplomatic mission.
His Eminence exchanged his condolences with Ambassador Masjedi on the days of the martyrdom of Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib “PBUH”, and discussed with him the developments of the political scene and bilateral relations between Iraq and Iran and the reflection of this relationship on calming the situation in the region in general.
His Eminence referred to his initiative to exit the current political crisis and said that the political impasse can be dismantled if the political parties enjoy the flexibility and make concessions.
Security-wise, His Eminence stated that ISIS still represents a security threat, which requires the maintenance of security coordination between all parties.
