Sayyid Al-Hakeem meets Algerian Ambassador, calls to activate joint committees and agreements
this morning, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, received in his office the Ambassador of Algeria, His Excellency Mr. Jihad El-Din Belkas on 23/8/2023, wishing him success in his diplomatic mission and commended Algeria's cooperation with Iraq, as well as the ongoing coordination in international and Arab forums.
His Eminence illustrated that Iraq’s foreign policies are guided by multiple directions that serve its interests and foster relationships with everyone. H.E. also called for the activation of joint committees and agreements, while stressing Arab integration both politically and economically.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem pointed out the similarities in challenges faced by Iraq and Algeria, particularly in combating terrorism and extremism, praising all efforts that have led to confronting and eliminating terrorism.
Regarding Iraq's current political landscape, H.E. illustrated the importance of stability in political, social, and security domains, illustrating that Iraq's stability contributes to regional stability, as proven by experiences and challenges.
