Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, received in his office the Jordanian Speaker of the Parliament, His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Al-Safdi, and the accompanying Parliamentary delegation. His Eminence expressed joy for the visit, wishing it will continue to have a closer look at the Iraqi reality and maintain connections between the two countries at all levels.
H.E. affirmed the strong relations between Iraq and Jordan for the bonds that connect them through common societies, geography, and borders. H.E. stated that Iraq-Jordan relations are above all consideration, pointing out that this visit holds valuable evidence. H.E. stressed investment opportunities to further develop the relations, calling for parliamentary cooperation and permanent committees between both the two countries and their legislative institutions and the importance of popular diplomacy to dismantle negative impressions, if any.
H.E. illustrated the importance of the Iraqi-Jordanian-Egyptian alliance, as it aims to achieve the common interest of all, and is not against one another. H.E. called to expand and integrate roles between Iraq and Jordan for the regional, Arabic, and international files and affirmed the importance of parties and political entities’ political cooperation.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem indicated the importance of strategic economic relations and called to complete the free zones, and cooperation in the energy field, affirming the importance of Jordan’s security to Iraq and vice versa. H.E. indicated that Iraq will enter no equation other than that of the Palestinian people to regain their rights. H.E. also called to stand with Jordan to alleviate the burden of its Palestinian cause position and valued the initiation of the Speaker of the Parliament to visit the Kingdom and meet the MPs of the Jordanian Parliament.
His Eminence called to focus on the comments regarding Gulf Cup 25 and how Iraq received its brothers and succeeded in organizing the tournament. H.E. affirmed that Iraq is regaining its status, and is moving away from unstable security and politics.
