Sayyid Al-Hakeem Receives Al-Sudani, Lauds Government Service Initiatives, Projects Unveiling
On Friday evening, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, had the honor of meeting with Prime Minister Mr. Mohamed Shia' Al-Sudani, where they discussed the latest political developments in Iraq and the broader region, and the situation in Iraq following the resolution of several key issues, particularly the election of the Speaker of the Parliament.
His Eminence commended the government's initiatives in opening various projects that were started earlier and illustrated that such projects would restore public confidence in the Iraqi executive branch. H.E. emphasized the need for more such projects across Baghdad and the provinces.
H.E. reaffirmed his belief in the importance of political stability, which leads to security and economic stability, and fosters an urban and developmental renaissance. This, in turn, increases citizen engagement with the political system. H.E. also praised Iraq's growing regional and international relationships.
Following His Eminence’s recent visit, H.E. addressed the needs of Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf Governorate highlighting the importance of supporting tourism, agriculture, and industrial sectors in this sacred city.
Regionally, H.E. reiterated the urgency of ending the conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon to prevent their spread throughout the region and the world. H.E. also expressed appreciation for Iraq's statement at the recent Islamic summit.
Finally, H.E. listened to the Prime Minister’s briefing on the outcomes of his visit to the Kurdistan region.
