    Sayyid Al-Hakeem: 25th Gulf Cup reflects Iraq’s, Basrah’s bright image

    During His Eminence’s visit to Basrah, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met several sheiks and dignitaries of AL-Hawash clan Banu Mansoor, in the district of Imam Al-Sadiq “PBUH”, northern Basrah. H.E. recalled these pivotal stations that brought him together with this genuine clan’s sons during the era of fighting the dictatorship and building the new Iraq, indicating the nature of political, social, security, and services challenges that we faced during the past years, which began to disassemble gradually through the efforts of the devoted. H.E. stated that we started to perceive the state of security, stability, and social harmony, as well as political stability and improvement of the general situation in the country, as Iraq started its trajectory towards growth, development, and regaining its active role in the region.
    H.E. stated that measuring situation improvement should be through comparing it to what it was, and not what it should be. Our ambition is big and we have a lot to achieve the state of content. Affirming the necessity of dialogue and spreading the achieved positives, which are many. This is a Quranic method “But tell of the favors of your Lord!” (11th verse of Ad-Duha chapter of the Holy Quran). But also not to spread the state of frustration and negativity as this will have a massive negative impact on society and the general situation.
    H.E. also indicated that the 25th Gulf Cup and the bright image it presented of the people of Basrah and their generosity and hospitality took the world by surprise, requiring accumulating these positives and taking pride in them.
