    Sayyid Al-Hakeem Emphasizes Empowering Local Governments, Preparing for Upcoming National Milestones

    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, stressed the importance of supporting and empowering local governments during a meeting with members of Al-Hikma bloc serving in provincial councils. H.E. underscored the need to grant local administrations their full constitutional authority, resume suspended projects, and expedite the completion of those already nearing final stages.
    During the meeting, H.E. listened to a detailed presentation on the service and development landscape across Iraq’s provinces, exploring ways to improve public services. H.E. affirmed that local governments must maintain a service-oriented focus, free from political polarization.
    H.E. also called for proactive engagement with other political blocs to reinforce national stability, and urged the opening of dialogue with universities and qualified professionals to develop practical solutions for ongoing challenges.
    In closing, H.E. stressed the importance of preparing for the upcoming electoral process, describing it as a pivotal moment in advancing political and social stability. H.E. emphasized that these democratic exercises represent a gateway to the comprehensive development that the Iraqi people aspire to achieve.
