Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Authentic Iraqi Tribes Had Important Role In Overcoming Challenges
From holy Karbala, and in the guesthouse of the Al-Amyal Sayyids (the guesthouse of Mr. Munther Al-Mayali), His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, met a group of sayyids, sheikhs, and dignitaries of the governorate, and exchanged views with those present on developments in the political, social, and economic reality of the country. H.E. expressed optimism about Iraq’s future and the possibility of investing the opportunities that arise alongside challenges, explaining that Iraq has overcome major challenges thanks to Allah, the guidance of the Supreme Religious Authority, and the chivalry and stand of the authentic Iraqi tribes.
H.E. stressed the importance of confronting challenges and issuing reassuring messages to achieve societal cohesion, urging the elite among sheikhs and dignitaries to issue these messages and to counter any discourse that would stir sectarian and racist strife, with the importance of explaining the situation to the general public, along with the nature of the challenges and their outcomes. H.E. renewed the affirmation that demonstrating is a constitutional right, calling on demonstrators to protect their right and express their demands away from political and external agendas. H.E. explained that Iraq has overcome the region’s crisis with the fewest losses, expressing hope that the talks now underway will lead to restoring calm and stability to the region, with the importance of working to preserve the achievements made in Iraq.
