Sayyid Al-Hakeem: National Unity, Internal Cohesion Foundation of Iraq’s Stability, Countering Attempts to Stir Up Sectarian, Racial Strife
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, received at his office in Baghdad a delegation of the Sumeriyoun parliamentary bloc, headed by Mr. Hussein Al-Ankoushi, and discussed with them the latest political developments in Iraq and the region, the roles the Council of Representatives must assume in the coming phase, and enabling the government to carry out its duties in providing services and implementing its program.
H.E. stressed the importance of communication among political forces and of sending reassuring messages among the components, emphasizing national unity and internal cohesion and confronting any attempt to stir up racial or sectarian strife, as well as any attempt aiming to take Iraq back to square one.
