Sayyid Al-Hakeem: National Unity, Economic Diversity Foundations for Facing Coming Phase Challenges
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, received at his office in Baghdad former Prime Minister Mr. Adel Abdul-Mahdi and discussed with him the latest political developments in Iraq and the region and the phase after the end of the International Coalition’s missions to defeat ISIS. H.E. called for facing challenges with greater cohesion and national unity and for sending reassuring messages among the components of the Iraqi people.
H.E. explained the nature of the economic challenges facing Iraq as a result of regional events, calling for adopting immediate and phased solutions alongside strategic solutions that enable Iraq to leave the rentier state approach, diversify the economy, stimulate productive sectors, and strengthen the role of the private sector.
