Sayyid Al-Hakeem Urges Students to Develop Themselves, Organize Time, Harness Technology to Serve Science
On a beautiful Baghdad morning, His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, visited a number of schools in the capital, Baghdad, where H.E. congratulated the students and the educational community on the start of the new school year, hoping it will be a year of goodness and success for the dear students at all their levels, and explaining that this year’s school year coincided with the country’s National Day and National Sovereignty Day. In a speech at Beirut Secondary School in the Al-Dora area of Baghdad, H.E. said that progress and prosperity begin with upbringing and education, through which a prosperous future is built.
H.E. called on students to believe in their abilities, to have high aspirations, and to work on self-development according to the principle of synchronizing upbringing with education to build an influential personality, urging them to be positive toward their schools, families, and country, to take pride in Iraq, and to give knowledge the greatest share of time to achieve the greatest benefit, while stressing time management and making use of communication tools in the service of knowledge and education.
H.E. called for attention to the four educational pillars, represented first by school buildings, which must be supplied with laboratories and the requirements of the educational process, and an end to the situation of prefabricated and mud schools and double-shift schools, regarding the student as an ambassador between home and school and calling for caution against dubious influences and certain behaviors. Second, the curricula, H.E. stressed the need to provide and deliver them and to elevate their content in a way that encourages thinking, enables students to pass the test of life, and focuses on practical aspects. Third, the educational community, stressing the need to support, respect, and honor it, care for it, and provide it with privileges and basic living requirements such as housing. Fourth, the family, which is an important pillar of the educational process, calling for communication with the school and holding regular meetings to identify needs, and stressing the need to benefit from artificial intelligence and harness it to serve the educational reality without surrendering to it.
H.E. also affirmed the duality of upbringing and education as two inseparable wings, as there is no education without proper and sound upbringing.
