Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Najaf Al-Ashraf Deserves Redoubled Effort From Federal, Local Governments
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received at his office in Baghdad the Governor of Najaf Ashraf, Mr. Yousif Ganawi, along with a number of provincial council members, and discussed with him the city's preparations to commemorate the anniversary of the passing of the Great Prophet (peace be upon him and his household), commending the service efforts made by the province in serving the pilgrims of the Arba'een of Imam Hussein (PBUH), and calling for the activation of projects and the completion of those that have reached high rates of progress.
H.E. stressed the importance of the city of Najaf Al-Ashraf, as the city of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (PBUH), and the center of the Supreme Religious Marja'iyya and the Hawza, which requires redoubled effort from the federal and local governments, affirming the necessity of investing the province's tourism, agricultural, industrial, and oil potential.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem also called for granting local governments their constitutional and legal powers, indicating the importance of coordinating work between local governments and ministries, in order to elevate the cities and showcase them in their finest form.
