Sayyid Al-Hakeem from Al-Taji: National Unity, Support Reform, Combat Corruption, Pillars to Overcome Economic Challenges

From Taji District in Baghdad, His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, met with a large gathering of sayyids, sheikhs, and dignitaries of Al-Taji and Tarmiya, commending in his remarks to them the efforts of the people of Taji and Tarmiya in confronting terrorism, and offering condolences to those present on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Al-Hassan (PBUH), pointing to his suffering in leading a weary and divided nation afflicted by great crises such as psychological strain, political conflicts, and problems within the social environment among his followers, and besieged by deviant Kharijites afflicted by ideological corruption, in addition to those driven by tribal fanaticism, all of which contributed to creating difficult circumstances by spreading rumors and sowing internal division within the army of Imam Al-Hassan (PBUH).
H.E. pointed to Iraq's diversity, considering it a great and important asset, calling for preserving Iraq in order to hand it down united to future generations, pointing to a difficult juncture Iraq is experiencing due to regional events and the decline in oil exports, the most important item in Iraq's budget, stressing unity, solidarity, and understanding the repercussions of regional events on Iraq, and attributing the decline in electricity supply to the decline in gas imported from the Islamic Republic of Iran, calling for addressing the crisis with the least possible losses.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem affirmed that the economic challenge contributed to the appointment of brother Al-Zaidi, given that he is an economist capable of offering out-of-the-box ideas, including raising oil production to increase revenues, and bringing in foreign investments in the oil sector to achieve the desired goal, stressing the importance of understanding these measures and not paying attention to the media machine attempting to belittle and cast doubt on them, noting that electricity is a priority of the Al-Zaidi government and is being worked on extensively.
H.E. renewed his support for the government's directions in combating corruption, describing some cases of corruption as systematic plundering, calling on the competent authorities to move forward with targeting major corrupt figures, and commending the position of the political powers supporting the government in combating corruption.
H.E. also pointed to the existence of regional and international goodwill and support for Iraq, citing the support the government received from businessmen during its recent visit to America, calling for establishing important projects in Al-Taji District, and stressing national unity in Al-Taji and the preservation of national cohesion.
