Sayyid Al-Hakeem Meets Anbar’s Sheikhs, Dignitaries at Sheikh Hamid Al-Shawka’s Guesthouse
At the guesthouse of Sheikh Hamid Al-Shawka, His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem met with a gathering of sheikhs and dignitaries of the Albu Dhiyab tribe and the noble tribes of Anbar, and affirmed that Anbar carries significant social weight through the influence of its tribes within Iraq and beyond.
H.E. noted that the visit comes after the formation of the new government, and amid a war that has cast its shadow over the countries of the region, including Iraq, particularly given its reliance on oil in preparing the budget, expressing his confidence in overcoming the crisis by improving and developing Iraq's relationship with its regional and international environment.
H.E. said that urban development cannot be achieved with current revenues, calling for bringing in foreign investment to raise oil production, noting that this challenge is among the key objectives of the Prime Minister's visit to America, affirming that investments and the entry of foreign companies will improve the economic reality, provide job opportunities, and link Iraq's interests with those of foreign countries, which in turn means protecting Iraq and strengthening its standing, stressing Iraq's openness to its regional and international environment and its embrace of all parties.
H.E. explained that raising oil production requires diversifying export outlets through a pipeline network with regional countries to the Mediterranean and Red Seas, thereby diversifying markets and protecting Iraq by linking its economy with others, affirming that the security challenge is now a thing of the past, as is the social challenge, explaining that Al-Zaidi is a businessman and that his appointment aligns with the nature of the country's current economic challenge, calling for supporting the government in its reform track, its fight against corruption, and the consolidation of weapons under state authority.
