Sayyid Al-Hakeem to Al-Hikma Leadership Wasit: Adhere to Moderation Project, Strengthen Public Presence Stage Necessity
His Eminence Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, met during his visit to Wasit Governorate with a large gathering of organizational leadership of Al-Hikma National Movement in the governorate, in a meeting that addressed a range of political and organizational themes.
H.E. expressed his great pleasure at visiting Wasit, describing it as "the governorate of devotion to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH)," evoking the depth of the bonds linking the governorate to the Al-Hakeem family — from the late religious authority Imam Sayyid Mohsin Al-Hakeem (may Allah sanctify his soul) to Shaheed Al-Mihrab and Aziz Al-Iraq (may Allah be pleased with them both).
H.E. also noted that this day falls between two occasions — joy at Eid Al-Ghadeer, in which the principle of political Imamate and its consolidation was embodied, and sorrow in recalling the anniversary of the martyrdom of the Master of Martyrs Imam Hussein (PBUH) in Muharram, which carried a message of reform to the nation and an embodiment of the principle of enjoining good and forbidding evil.
H.E. noted that political work exacts a heavy toll on those who pursue it, while affirming that the presence of Al-Hikma National Movement is a necessity for serving Iraq and its people. H.E. called on the organizational leadership not to be concerned by smear and discrediting campaigns, explaining that the scale of such campaigns is directly proportional to the scale of one's influence — the greater the impact, the greater the attempts to undermine it.
H.E. stressed the importance of promoting the Movement's project and holding firmly to it, and working to influence the surrounding environment with confidence and without apprehension, calling for the optimal investment of the current period in deepening understanding of Al-Hikma National Movement's national project through intensifying efforts in education, outreach, and training at the organizational level.
