Sayyid Al-Hakeem Affirms Iraqi Tribes' Role to Support Country’s Stability
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received Sheikh Waleed Khalid Al-Salman Al-Ulyawi, Sheikh of the noble Al-Bu Ali tribe, where the meeting recalled the historic relationship that has bound His Eminence to the noble Al-Bu Ali tribe, the tribe's enduring stances in confronting dictatorship, its contributions to building modern Iraq, and the heroic role of its sons in facing terrorism in all its forms.
H.E. affirmed the importance of the role played by Iraqi tribes in confronting the challenges besetting Iraq, noting that the country has managed to overcome a difficult political deadlock through the efforts of political forces in fulfilling constitutional entitlements and forming the new government.
H.E. also highlighted the importance of Maysan Governorate and the role of stability therein as a prerequisite for development and prosperity, and the necessity of compensating its people for what they endured during the years of dictatorship and direct targeting.
