Sayyid Al-Hakeem Stresses Need to Settle Constitutional Entitlements, Strengthen Coordination Between Authorities, Support Dialogue to End Crises with Al-Jeel Al-Jadeed Bloc,
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received at his office a delegation from Al-Jeel Al-Jadeed (the New Generation) Bloc, headed by Ms. Sarwa Abdul Wahid.
H.E. stressed the importance of joint efforts between the legislative and executive authorities in serving the public interest, noting the need to settle constitutional entitlements and form the next government in a way that helps address challenges, eases the burdens on Iraq, and enables institutions to deliver services and carry out reforms.
H.E. also underlined the importance of complementary performance among political blocs and bringing viewpoints closer together to legislate laws that directly affect citizens, as well as laws needed to complete the structure of the Iraqi state and its institutions. H.E. called for dialogue to be the chosen path for resolving outstanding issues between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government, on the basis of national interest.
H.E. Sayyid Al-Hakeem affirmed the importance of bringing the war on the Islamic Republic of Iran to an end, noting that the war is casting a heavy shadow over the region and the world, with Iraq among the countries bearing the costs of this escalation.
