Sayyid Al-Hakeem Receives State of Law MP, Affirms Real Work Starts After Elections
يHis Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, met in his office with the alliance’s newly elected members of parliament, congratulating them on the public trust that enabled them to assume their seats in the legislative branch.
His Eminence underscored the need to uphold the essential duties of parliamentary work, legislation, oversight, and broad representation for all Iraqis, stressing that every elected MP speaks for the entire Iraqi people, not only for those who voted for them.
H.E. encouraged the winners to advance concrete service and development initiatives and to turn these efforts into success stories in the next stage, while fostering cooperation and coordination with other parliamentary blocs to strengthen public confidence in the legislative institution.
H.E. further highlighted the importance of sustained engagement with citizens and keeping communication channels active, affirming that genuine work begins after election day, not with it.
H.E. reiterated the call to implement the National State Powers Alliance’s program, which was crafted around key priorities and challenges, with particular attention to diversifying the economy, activating productive sectors, and coordinating with local governments and governors in service of the public interest.
