Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Electoral Victory Comes Through Sincere Effort, Not Political Money or Publicity

From the province of Basra Al-Fayhaa, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, met on Friday morning, October 17, 2025, with the Alliance’s candidates in Basra.
After listening to the participants’ remarks, His Eminence commended the efforts made by the “Victory Battalion” emphasizing that all work must be purely for the sake of Allah Almighty and in service of Iraq and its people. H.E. affirmed that sincere effort is always accompanied by divine success and supported by lawful and legitimate means.
H.E. stated, “The National State Powers Alliance is not measured by the number of seats it holds; its decline in 2021, in fact, enhanced its influence and standing, allowing it to serve all people in ways widely acknowledged.”
H.E. underscored that people’s affection and trust are not gained through campaign posters or advertisements but through genuine belief in a candidate’s ability to serve them and advance the nation’s interests.
He called on candidates to believe in victory and work toward it, describing public service as a race toward good deeds that must be approached with faith in Allah’s decree—without haste or delay.
H.E. stressed the importance of sustained, focused effort, urging candidates to innovate ideas suited to their environment and social realities. H.E. renewed his call for self-confidence, resilience against defamation campaigns, and caution against the use of political money to buy votes.
H.E. also highlighted Iraq’s exceptional diplomatic efforts to shield itself from regional crises, affirming that Iraq has managed these challenges wisely without becoming entangled in them.
Reaffirming the importance of the upcoming elections in consolidating Iraq’s stability, H.E. called for maximizing the Alliance’s strengths, making honest commitments, maintaining open communication with the public, and believing that victory belongs to all within the Alliance—whether to those who win or those who contribute to others’ success.
H.E. further stressed the importance of political stability and economic reform grounded in agriculture, industry, tourism, investment, and technology. H.E. also emphasized the “five pillars of services”—water, electricity, education, healthcare, and infrastructure—while reiterating the necessity of reforming the banking system as a cornerstone of sustainable economic development.
