Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Iraq’s Services Success Is Achievable, as Proven in Security and Politics — Empowering Moderation Safeguards State
Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, met Sunday evening, October 13, 2025, with a group of Al-Mahdiyya Al-Musewi Sayyids, led by Sayyid Sahib Al-Mahdawi. After welcoming the delegation, His Eminence reflected on Iraq’s current state and its transformation over the years, noting that the country had previously endured political, social, and security struggles that necessitated the emergence of figures capable of navigating those challenges.
H.E. stated that the next stage must focus on elevating the quality of essential services, particularly in electricity, water, health, education, and infrastructure, emphasizing that progress in these areas would not only improve daily life and create job opportunities but also strengthen citizens’ confidence in their country and political system by driving economic growth and prosperity.
H.E. affirmed that Iraq’s success in developing its service sector is attainable, just as it achieved notable advances in security, social stability, and politics. H.E. pointed to the reconstruction progress witnessed over the past two years as proof that sustained, diligent work can yield even greater results.
H.E. commended the political efforts that have preserved the nation’s stability, underscoring that the path of moderation and centrism remains the most effective approach to protecting the state and that empowering this course represents genuine protection for Iraq and the interests of its people.
H.E. reiterated the importance of empowering individuals of integrity whose principles remain unchanged by titles or positions, noting that the House of Representatives needs capable and competent members who can transform public perceptions of the legislative authority, which has faced many criticisms.
H.E. urged continued engagement with the public and reliance on Allah in all efforts, stressing the importance of adopting service-oriented projects by parliamentarians in the coming phase and affirming H.E.’s personal commitment to support and follow up on their implementation to ensure tangible results.
