    Al-Hakeem Receives Prime Minister Al-Sudani: Supporting Oil Agreement, Elections as Pillars of Stability, Rapid Government Formation

    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani on Wednesday evening. The meeting included an exchange of views on the latest political developments in Iraq, upcoming national milestones, and the outcomes of His Eminence’s recent discussions with Kurdish leaders.
    His Eminence underscored the importance of the recent oil agreement with the Kurdistan Region, describing it as a step that safeguards the interests of all parties and ensures social justice among Iraq’s diverse communities. H.E. renewed the call to further develop this agreement into a strong foundation for enacting a comprehensive Oil and Gas Law.
    H.E. emphasized the need to uphold values and principles throughout the electoral competition, stating that elections are a cornerstone for achieving stability. H.E. noted that cooperation among all political forces will be indispensable after November 11, pointing out that genuine national projects will begin after that date, paving the way for a swift government formation that meets the aspirations of the Iraqi people.
    H.E. also reiterated the call for broad, effective, and conscious participation in the elections and for selecting the most qualified candidates based on programs and competence. H.E. stressed the importance of maintaining logistical readiness for the elections, urging support for the relevant authorities and enabling civil society organizations to effectively carry out their monitoring and documentation roles.
    H.E. further called for continued security operations to dismantle terrorist networks, commending the efforts of security forces in eliminating the leaders of terrorist organizations. H.E. concluded by highlighting the need to preserve stability and transform it into lasting peace that strengthens the public’s confidence in the political system and fosters national satisfaction.
